Oxford Pagan Circle

What is the Oxford Pagan Circle?

The Oxford Pagan Circle is a collective of people following contemporary Pagan paths, including Druidry, Wicca, Thelema, and eclectic Paganism.

This website is very new: later in its life it will include links to different sites and individuals within Oxford and Oxfordshire.

For now, here are a few details about Pagans and Paganism:

Most Pagans honour the Divine as both female and male. Our principles include self-responsibility and non-proselytisation.  Our ceremonies are linked to the elements, the land, and the cycle of the seasons and the moon.  Practice, for Pagans, is more important than belief.

Modern Pagan theology is like a great tapestry with strands originating in many distinct religious traditions.  Contemporary Pagans may embrace all or part of the Pagan tapestry.  Some Pagans explore their ethnic roots and discover the indigenous practices of their ancestors.  Others incorporate practices that belong to a wide variety of cultures.  Still other Pagans follow newly created practices.  Many Pagans understand Deity as immanent, in everything, and see revelation in nature rather than in written scriptures.

Many Pagans practice as solitaries or within small closed groups, and we often work outdoors, so we do not have designated places of worship.
